Bionic Commando is sometimes overlooked. It certainly wasn't top of my most wanted list. But it turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
I found Bionic Commando to be quite an original game, the swinging mechanism via an extendable arm from object to object is very fluid and feels natural.
Shooting is played down intentionally in this game, and as a result can feel inaccurate and clunky. Though you get a nice metallic ping when you make a headshot. I didn't like the fact that this killing machine engineered commando would die if was left in water too long.
I found the storyline to be a bit confusing but I don't think it added much to the gameplay anyway. For what I think is quite an early Xbox 360 game I was quite impressed with the graphics of the landscapes and environment rivally even modern games like Red Dead Redemption.
All in all I found it quite entertaining.
Pick it up if you can get it cheap.
I'd give it a 7/10.
